BOUNDARIES

for clarinet, violin, double-bass, piano, and electronics

This was the second concert presentation of my artistic research project at Studio LOOS, Making Time Together. Collective Experiences of Time in Continuous Ensemble Practice, in which I explored collective experiences of time in music through my continuous practice with my collaborators from Kali Ensemble: Nirantar Yakthumba, Giuseppe Sapienza, Alejandra Bejarano, and Gregor Connelly.

Building upon the outcomes of the first workshop in February and March, I continued exploring the temporalities that emerge in the resonances between various spaces and the ways we listen to them. This time, we paid special attention to introspective modes of listening based on memory and imagination and investigated how these virtual spaces expand the physical and how they affect the way we listen to one another.

This concert and the research project were made possible with a subsidy from Makersregeling Gemeente Den Haag.
