Bikes and Harmonicas is a piece that explores the deviations of breathing that occur while people cycle on uneven terrain. The different efforts needed to cross different segments of cyclers’ routes result in alterations of the breathing cycle that gets sonified with harmonicas. I’m interested in how locations and differences in performers’ physiques affect the sonic outcome of the work.
